Abbey Tours, Ireland’s largest incoming tour operator, has bought Dublin based company, Ireland Inbound. This is the second acquisition by Abbey Tours within the last year, and follows the company's purchase of O’Mara Travel in March 2007.

Abbey Tours Managing Director Brian McColgan stated, "We are very pleased to acquire the business of Ireland Inbound, a company which has traded successfully in our sector for many years and has achieved a well deserved reputation for providing top quality service. We will continue to develop the relationships with Ireland Inbound’s client base and in the process bring some added value and new product offerings. This year Abbey Tours and our Conference Division, Abbey Conference & Corporate, will handle over 110,000 visitors to Ireland. The acquisition of Ireland Inbound will present us with further opportunities to grow the international markets, and bring additional visitors to Ireland."
